BIGHORN EVENT POLICIES

TRANSPORTATION:

There are approximately 80 to 90 parking spots available for guests at the Bighorn Bistro. Also, a bus runs on regular schedule from Vail; the bus stop is located across the street from Bighorn Bistro.

POLICIES:

Children are welcome at Bighorn Bistro, but must be under supervision at all times

Music is welcome (band or DJ), but must end no later than 12:00 midnight in the restaurant and 10pm on the deck.. Guests must depart by 1:00 am.

Bighorn Management reserves the right to deny service of alcoholic beverages to anyone that may appear intoxicated. Whenever possible, management will consult with the host/hostess to handle any situation in the most sensitive and diplomatic manner available.

Persons under 21 years of age will not be served alcohol or be allowed to possess or drink alcoholic beverages.

The client is responsible for any damage, breakage, or loss of any rental items that were rented from an outside vendor specifically for their event.

Bighorn is a non-smoking restaurant.

Due to liability and safety concerns, no one is allowed in the kitchen, service areas or behind the bar.

Guest access will be limited to areas specifically stated in client’s contract. Management must approve additional access.

WEDDINGS:

The wedding party is responsible for all arrangements in terms of the actual ceremony.

The wedding party is responsible for all arrangements with florists, entertainment, placards, etc.

The use of the Vail Racquet Club Deck or Room is available for $400.00.

All candles must be enclosed in votives or hurricanes.

When sending off the newly married couple, we ask that the client use birdseed for environmental reasons.

GUARANTEE, PAYMENT POLICIES AND DEADLINES:

A non-refundable deposit of $1000 is required to hold the Bighorn Bistro for a specific date. An additional deposit equal to 50% of the estimated total is due no later than 90 days before the event. Deposit check should be made payable to Bighorn Bistro, and mailed to Bighorn Bistro, 4695 Vail Racquet Club Drive, Vail, Co 81657. The final balance is due the day of the event.

Menu and wine selections must be determined no fewer than 14 days prior to the event. The final guaranteed attendance and exact breakdown of pre-selected menu items is due 7 days before event.

The final charge will be for the guaranteed number or the actual number of attendees, whichever is greater.

Should your party increase, Bighorn will do everything possible to accommodate your extra guests, but cannot assure the availability of all the products necessary for the event.

In the event of a cancellation, if notice is received between 30 and 14 days before the event, the client will be refunded 50% of the deposited amount. Cancellations between 14 and 7 days of the event will forfeit the entire deposit Amount.

In the event of cancellation within one week of the event, the client will be held responsible for the full estimated cost of the event (food, beverage, tax, and service charge).

If a credit card number is held as a deposit, the above cancellation policies will apply and the credit card will be charged accordingly.

TAXES AND SERVICE CHARGE:

Colorado State and Local tax is currently 8.9%. An 18% service charge will be assessed on all food and beverage.
